Principal's Message

A Message from your Principal

Dear Parents and Families,

On behalf of the staff at Corona Ranch  Elementary School, we are happy to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year!

I’d like to take this opportunity for you to get a know a little more about me. My passion for teaching and working with children began in high school with a teacher that taught biology and anatomy. He made it so fun and engaging that you forgot that you were learning difficult concepts.  After graduating from Cal State San Bernardino, I substituted at the elementary level and also completed my student teaching in CNUSD in 5th and 1st grades. I was elated to get hired as a teacher with CNUSD and taught 5th, 3rd, and 6th grades for 10 years and earned my Master’s during this time. I was a split Assistant Principal for 3 years and then came to Corona Ranch to serve as the proud AP for 4 years until my recent promotion to Principal at the best school ever! Corona Ranch welcomes a new Assistant Principal also. Jordon was the AP at Santiago HS and brings lots of experience and wisdom with him for the elementary level.

We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure your children can achieve their highest potential. We understand that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that they:

  1. Attends school daily and arrives on time to school, ready for the day’s learning experience. The gates close at 7:45am.

  2. Completes all assignments given by teachers.

  3. Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills.

  4. Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of their school life.

  5. Informs you if they  need additional support in any area or subject.

  6. Knows that you expect them to succeed in school as they prepare for their academic future.

Please consider joining our school PTA and also becoming involved within our school community.  All students benefit from your involvement. Your child’s teacher is looking forward to foster a positive relationship with you and your child this year. See Gabby in the office for requirements on becoming a parent volunteer on campus.

It is our ultimate goal to provide for our students, families, teachers, and the community positive learning experiences in a nurturing environment. Many of you have already met me, but in case you have not, I would love for you to say hi. We make a point of being in the parking lot for student drop-off/pick-up and we encourage you to introduce your child to us. We thank you for your support and look forward to getting to know you.
